COPSD Case Manager, Corpus Christi, TX

Cenikor is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently looking for a full-time COPSD Case Manager for our facility in Corpus Christi, TX.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The COPSD Case Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and overall evaluation of individual patient needs within COPSD program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure the COPSD treatment program is effectively administered and meets regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify services and support needed to address client problems and needs as identified in the client assessment.
  3. Record client progress in the clinical record and ensure documentation is legible and complies with documentation standards.
  4. Create and maintain database of referral resources within the immediate community and surrounding area.
  5. Provide clients with appropriate referrals and facilitate initial communication with referral resources.
  6. Participate as a team member in providing an optimum environment for client recovery.
  7. Ensure appropriate documentation and timely communication with insurance billing department to get maximum payment on accounts.
  8. Ensure clinical staff remains informed of policy and regulatory changes and updates staff on changes as appropriate within COPSD service program.
  9. Ensure weekly training and observation is conducted and documented with all applicable clinical staff.
  10. Participate in the facility Quality Assurance program.
  11. Intervene as necessary on issues relating to client complaints, concerns and operational issues.
  12. Work closely with immediate supervisor and Facility Director to uphold the core principles of Cenikor's culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
  13. Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable matters to immediate supervisor and the Facility Director.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

  • Experience with conducting an accurate client assessments and identifying appropriate resources for client development.
  • Experience in providing education and case management for individuals.
  • Understands and supports therapeutic community philosophy for potential client referrals.
  • Capable of discerning facts from opinions and remaining objective when listening to conflicting opinions.
  • Experience working with various types of people.
  • Possess good time management skills needed to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Possess excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Patience, perseverance, and resilience in a challenging environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor in Psychology or Social Work required

Experience:

  • Relatable experience in counseling and program administration relating to addiction
