Cenikor is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance use treatment centers in the nation. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintain and implement medical policies and procedures for the Foundation that ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, conform to current standards of nursing practice and comply with state and federal laws and regulations for multiple states. Interpret policies and procedures for all medical staff.
  2. Monitor medical programs to ensure budgetary and program service delivery objectives are met.
  3. Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with facility leadership, medical directors, MAT Program Specialist, and lead and charge nurses to optimize performance and ensure that services meet clients' needs in a changing and competitive market.
  4. Ensure CARF program and policy standards are consistently maintained to ensure quality service delivery and successful recertification.
  5. Work with the MAT Program Specialist to develop, maintain and implement MAT program and procedures for the Foundation that ensure compliance with guidelines, conform to current stands of MAT practice and comply with state and federal laws and regulations for multiple states. Interpret policies and procedures to all aspects pertaining to MAT services.
  6. Support strategic planning and initiatives to expand medical services to meet client needs as identified with executive leadership.
  7. Present at regional or national conferences to represent Cenikor as a center of excellence.
  8. Monitor medical programs to ensure budgetary and program service delivery objectives are met. Manage appropriate scheduling and methods to provide contract compliance and documentation.
  9. Oversee professional development and quality training of nursing staff to ensure positive client service experience, quality nursing service delivery and appropriate nursing documentation to meet regulatory standards and billing requirements.
  10. Ensure quality nursing admissions and services are delivered to clients twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
  11. Provide oversight of contract medical directors to ensure clients receive comprehensive care and services, and as well as compliance with regulations and policies.
  12. Ensure delivery of quality care and nursing supervision by adequate staff coverage in facilities.
  13. Demonstrate knowledge of and application of compliance, quality and process improvement and proactively monitor and implement systems to achieve or surpass service delivery across locations.
  14. Develop and monitor budgets and resource allocations for nursing program. Monitor financial performance and identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/service.
  15. Ensure nursing teams work cooperatively with Access Center, Admissions and Insurance Billing departments to ensure efficient admissions and insurance billing processing, meeting deadlines and funding criteria as required. Work closely with Access Center, Revenue Cycle and facility leadership to maximize revenue.
  16. Stay abreast of and disseminate regulatory information to Executive Leadership Council (ELC) members.
  17. Work closely with the Clinical executive, CQI and Utilization Review teams to ensure the Quality Assurance program is properly implemented and monitored according to policy and CARF standards.
  18. Ensure that all employee corrective actions and complaints are documented in compliance with Foundation policies and procedures, with the knowledge and assistance of the Human Resource Department and to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  19. Ensure timely completion of Big 5 performance management tool by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.
  20. Work with the Human Resource Department for staffing, training, employee relations issues, and maintenance of personnel files, documentation and licensure requirements for Foundation staff.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of nursing programs/practices/issues in treatment facilities and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of CCBHC and/or FQHC operations and requirements.
  • Ability to manage resources to meet requirements of multiple funding sources.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree required.
  • Graduate degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing a nursing program in a behavioral health treatment program or a related field of work required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience working with CCBHC or FQHC strongly preferred.
  • Experience with non-profit, substance use, health care or mental health is preferred.
  • Experience with governmental licensing agencies is preferred.
  • Experience with health care or education is preferred.
