Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Direct Services

  1. Provide educational programs to youth grades 6-12th in school and community settings.
  2. Provide tobacco, alcohol and drug awareness presentations for youth and adults.
  3. Participate in tobacco, alcohol and other drug awareness campaigns.
  4. Provide health and wellness alternative activities.
  5. Attend local health fairs, school events, and collation meetings at schools and in funded communities.
  6. Establish and maintain contacts with schools and community partners through collaborative efforts.
  7. Serve as Cenikor representative to assigned schools, and community contacts in a professional manner.
  8. Work with Prevention Supervisor and Director of Prevention Programs to ensure maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness with the scheduling of prevention services.

Administration

  1. Document and maintain program files according to federal, state, and agency guidelines.
  2. Report monthly statistics and curriculum outcomes for attainment of program goals.
  3. Attend and participate in team meetings and supervision meetings with Prevention Supervisor and Director of Prevention Programs.
  4. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards as well as contract standards and Cenikor policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain professional development as required by federal, state and agency to meet compliance guidelines.
  6. Work closely with management team to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
  7. Ensure completion of Big 5 performance management tool by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experienced and/or knowledgeable in providing educational presentations
  • Experienced in working with diverse populations.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including MS Outlook calendar, TEAMS and Zoom.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration, Education or another related field required.

Experience:

  • Experience in school and/or community setting
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Experience in establishing community partnerships

Licensure:

  • Associate Prevention Certification required within 20 months of employment
