SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday 10:00am-7:00 pm 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead the BHT team to create and maintain a therapeutic environment for substance use clients. Ensure adequate security for eating/sleeping problems, suicidal/homicidal attempts or threats, elopements or attempts to elope. Ensure patients are supported in good grooming and personal hygiene. Monitor and ensure team monitors clients' movement and provides a client count as per facility policy.
  2. Supervise the hiring, orientation, training, scheduling and disciplinary action when necessary for behavioral health technicians and operational staff, with the direction of the VP/FD and the human resources department. Monitor staff for compliance with DSHS and CARF standards as required by regulation or contract.
  3. Maintain schedule to accommodate census and outing needs for clients per regulation.
  4. Supervise any external vendors or contractors and the bid process to ensure building maintenance needs are addressed within budget and in a timely manner.
  5. Oversee physical plant operations to ensure current compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Coordinate activities with facility staff to ensure efficient facility operations twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  7. Enforce program policies and guidelines as outlined by Facility Director.
  8. Maintain locked doors as per facility policy, making security checks to ensure that the integrity of security is intact and the safety of clients is maintained. Refer problems and/or deficiencies to proper authority.
  9. Ensure housekeeping duties are completed such as assisting with washing client's clothes and other duties necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for clients. Supervise client chores consisting of general cleaning of physical surroundings and furnishings in patient care area. Maintain a neat and clean employee area.
  10. Participate and assist clinical treatment team members with groups in therapeutic activities. Maintain awareness of and documents whereabouts of clients at all times, reporting problems appropriately. Recognize and intervene in disturbed/aggressive behavior as soon as signs of disruptive behavior are recognized. Participate as an active member in treatment team meetings, advising others of observations and recommendations.
  11. Oversee Food Services Department to include: food ordering, meal planning, adherence to facility food budget, coordination of menus with the facility dietician, and compliance with all applicable guidelines established by the local health authorities in preparation and service of food products.
  12. Work closely with Facility Director to uphold the core principles of Cenikor's culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
  13. Oversee transportation and vehicle maintenance process to ensure effective and efficient use of Foundation resources.
  14. Coordinate the transportation process to ensure compliance to facility standards/requirements.
  15. Interface with the Business Manager and Facility Director on day-to-day operating expenses.
  16. Ensure completion of Big 5 performance management tool for staff by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.
  17. Participate in the facility Quality Assurance program and monthly meeting.
  18. Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
  19. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as assigned in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Knowledgeable about substance abuse treatment, prevention and aftercare.
  • Experienced in working with various types of people.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Associates degree preferred

Experience:

  • Facilities maintenance/management preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

  • Food manager permit as required by state regulations
  • Counselor Intern or LCDC preferred
