Schedule: Full Time 7:00am-7:00pm and 7:00pm-7:00am

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and residents.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures;
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to work night shifts and/or flexible hours.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • One-year security/safety experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Sit in normal position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk and/or run while patrolling property,
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs
  • Ability to see within normal parameters
  • Ability to hear within normal range
  • Ability to drive fifteen passenger vans
  • Ability to carry approximately ten pounds
  • Ability to reach and extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
  • Ability to travel to facilities by various transportation means.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

Valid Driver's License
