Cenikor Foundation is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance use treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Junior Recruiter in our corporate office located in Houston, TX.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and facilitating selection of qualified applicants for positions in the Foundation.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs. Coordinate the applicant selection process with hiring managers at multiple locations.

Maintain professional, effective and timely communication with all candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Manage datis applicant tracking system, including publishing and unpublishing positions, ensuring accurate selection criteria and follow up communication with candidates.

Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of applicant and recruiting source data.

Recommend updates to job descriptions to Senior Manager, Human Resources / Employee Relations & Talent Acquisition Supervisor as necessary and/or requested by hiring manager.

Post jobs internally and externally, and follow up with hiring managers weekly or more frequently as needed for critical positions.

Source a diverse pool of candidates according to relevant job criteria using internet postings, approved recruiting sources, networking, career fairs, university relations, social media, resume databases and employee referrals, etc.

Prescreen selected candidates to evaluate basic skill level, culture fit, mission of service, compensation fit and other qualifications.

Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations.

Schedule interviews and testing appointments, request offer letters, coordinate new hire orientation, and extend verbal offers as requested.

Manage candidate process with top candidates being referred to the hiring manager.

Conduct employment references, ensure credentials and education are verified as well as background checks are completed.

Uphold the core principles of Cenikor's culture and create a positive working environment for all team members. Be able to effectively communicate the core principles of Cenikor's culture to candidates during interview process.

Compile and update reports for job openings, time to hire, applicant flow, and other reports as needed for review by Senior Manager, Human Resources / Employee Relations & Talent Acquisition Supervisor.

Develop and maintain a network of outreach contacts at various colleges and other recruiting sources.

Track recruiting results including hiring source, (i.e. employee referral, internet postings, event, etc.).

Ensure completion of Big 5 performance management tool by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review.

Work closely with management team to uphold the core principles of Cenikor's culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.

Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as defined in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of EEO regulations, employment law, human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the recruiting life cycle.
  • Demonstrated skill in interviewing techniques, including behavioral interviewing.
  • Capability of effectively communicating with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work with tenacity and resilience in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organization skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and specifically MS Outlook Calendar required.
  • Knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams required.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems preferred.

Education:

  • College degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years recruiting experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting in a normal position for extended periods of time
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with the entire hand(s) or arm(s) (for example, using a keyboard)
