Cenikor Foundation is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance use treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Case Manager for our Short Term Detox facility in Deer Park, TX.

The Job Summary and Description - What's expected of you?:

SCHEDULE: Monday -Friday 8 am -5 pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Understand Sober Living concepts and how to work with residents to include participating in the Sober Living modality.
  2. To ready individuals for employment and teach critical life skills including: budgeting, savings planning, resume writing, etc.
  3. Provide substance use disorder treatment services to a diverse population within contract and regulatory guidelines
  4. Provide support for individuals to find and maintain gainful employment.
  5. Foster a support network in recovery groups for individuals in early recovery.
  6. Provide case management services as needed.
  7. Provide monthly reports documenting the progress of assigned caseload.
  8. Work in conjunction with all Community staff to facilitate a safe environment for resident recovery.
  9. Facilitate communication and collaboration with the individual, family, and other support systems.
  10. Educate the individual, family/natural supports and other members community resources, etc. in order to ensure timely and informed decisions related to completion and to promote individual self-efficacy and self-advocacy and determination.
  11. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards as well as Cenikor policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain and update data base of referral resources for residents within the immediate community and across State as per identified need.
  13. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations in regards to resident confidentiality of past and present treatment enrollment.
  14. Maintain strict confidentiality on all Foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
  15. Uphold the core principles of Cenikor's culture and contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the non-exempt functions as defined in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced and/or knowledgeable in presenting educational materials to individuals and groups.
  • Experienced and capable of identifying appropriate resources for resident development.
  • Capable of discerning facts from opinions and remaining objective when listening to conflicting opinions.
  • Experienced in working with diverse population.
  • Possesses good time management skills needed to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Patience, perseverance, and resilience in a challenging environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including specific MS Outlook calendar experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or social services preferred

Experience:

  • Two-years resident advocacy experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record system preferred.
