ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitor the HHSC performance measures and work with the Prevention Director utilizing the internal and HHSC tools to report goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis per HHSC requirements.
  2. Coordinate fall, spring, and summer Prevention services with schools and community partners.
  3. Make requests for supply orders as needed for the Prevention team.
  4. Serve as a Cenikor representative to schools, community partner meetings, and community events in the service area.
  5. Perform prevention services in the absence of a team member as needed.
  6. Provide substance use and misuse educational programs to youth grades 1-12 in school and community settings
  7. Participate in community mobilization efforts through local health fairs, schools and at other events sponsored by local partners.
  8. Serve as a Cenikor representative to assigned schools and community partners. 
  9. Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with schools and community partners

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experienced and/or knowledgeable in providing Prevention educational programs and behavioral health information to youth and adults through public speaking.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience in leadership of teams including facilitating of team meetings in person and virtually.
  • Experience and effective communication and networking within a school system and community.
  • Experienced in working with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including Teams and Zoom.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or another related field

Experience

  • Experience working in group settings with adolescents preferred.
  • Experience in school settings with classroom management preferred.
  • Experience in prevention/substance use field preferred.
  • Trained in Botvin Life Skills Curriculum and or Curriculum Based Support Group Prevention Curriculum preferred.
